In addition to enjoying the Fire Island Boatel’s private beach, guests can take a short walk, approximately ten minutes, to the opposite side of the island where Kismet’s public sand beach awaits. Lifeguards are available at the Kismet public beach seasonally to supervise swimming.

Aside from providing guests with some beautiful scenery, the lighthouse is open for “Tower Tours” seasonally in which guests are permitted to climb one hundred and eighty-two steps to the top of the lighthouse. More information can be found at the Fire Island Lighthouse’s website: https://www.fireislandlighthouse.com.
