Embarking on your journey to Fire Island is an adventure in itself. The Fire Island Ferries leaving from Bay Shore are the most popular and convenient way of getting on Island. You can find the ferry schedule on their website. We advise giving yourself plenty of time before the scheduled ferry time to find parking and have all your luggage loaded on the boat. The Fire Island Water Taxi is another convenient option which offers private service for your group and luggage. For personal boats, the Kismet Inn Marina allows overnight docking on a first come first serve basis (they do not take reservations).

You can also enter the island by foot or bike via Robert Mosses Field 5. It is about a mile from the parking lot to Kismet. Fire Island Pedicab offers pedicab rides from Field 5, the Fire Island Lighthouse and Kismet.
