The Kismet Inn & Marina is definitely one of those long lasting establishments like Cheers where everybody knows your name. According to owner Larry Cole, the Inn has a history that dates back to 1925. The original building was destroyed by the Hurricane of 1938. It has remained a popular summer spot throughout all the years, drawing Kismet locals and Fire Islanders from other hamlets, as well as day trippers that come and go daily on the Fire Island ferries.
LIVE MUSIC
As you stroll by the Kismet Inn on a Friday or Saturday night you will most likely hear live music being played by talented musicians. Depending on which band is playing that evening you could be lucky enough to hear a classic rock band playing the Rolling Stones or a local band playing Grateful Dead covers or an acoustic guitarist singing “Cheeseburger in Paradise”. Come in and enjoy the sights and sounds of The Kismet Inn.
